This post may contain affiliate links. Want to add some fun decor to your table this year? How about making some of these cute fake carmel apples! These are so easy to make and look absolutely adorable sitting out on display on the table for the fall season. What you will need: artificial apples small wooden dowels brown and orange acrylic paint school glue Misc: bowl, ribbon and sprinkles Start by taking your dowel and pushing it down into the center of your apples. Next you will need to mix up your paint in a bowl to make your brown look more like a carmel color. If you have the perfect color already, perfect. I used what I had and added a little orange to my brown to give it a more carmel color. Once you have the color the way you want it, add your glue to it until you have enough glue in the bowl that you can easily dip your apple into it. The amount doesn't matter as long as you have enough to dip all of your apples. Then use the bowl to wipe off as much of the excess glue as you can and set it to dry on a piece of wax paper. If you want to add some sprinkles like I did on one of them you can either 1) wait for the glue to be almost dry and then add some sprinkles to your apple or you can 2) wait for the glue to be completely dry and use a spray adhesive to attach the sprinkles to your carmel. Once everything is dry, tie on a cute little ribbon to add a final touch to your apples. Then they are ready to be displayed for the fall season! Can't find these items at your local dollar store?
