This post may contain affiliate links. I love decorating for Easter, but sometimes it's hard to find Easter decor that fits with my decorating style. I don't like a lot of pastel or colorful holiday decor, but more of a simple style with neutral tones and these adorable bunnies are perfect. PLUS, you can get everything at the dollar store! What you will need: tinsel bunnies twine spanish moss hot glue gun scissors Start by taking all of the tinsel off of your bunnies. Sometimes you can easily find the loose end, but you may have to make a cut in the tinsel and start pulling it off. Once you have it all off, it will look like this: Next, take out your twine. Tie a knot near the bottom end of your bunny. Then start wrapping the twine around the bunny. Once you start wrapping, you will notice that the bunny frame has little knobs on it making it easy to wrap the twine. What you are doing is trying to create more of a mesh frame for your moss to attach to. Once you have a good amount of twine added to your bunny, tie off the end of the twin in a knot. Then it's time to start gluing on your moss. Take smaller sections of the moss at a time, trim it down and flatten it out a bit. Then apply some hot glue to the twine about the size of the moss you've cut out and attach your moss. Continue gluing on your moss until your entire bunny is covered in moss. Isn't he just the cutest little bunny (head)?! He matches so perfectly with my decor, but since he's kind of got a neutral look to him, I can use him as spring decor too. And you can use this same idea for any dollar store tinsel item! Can't find these items at your local dollar store? Find them online at DollarTree.com do it yourselfWant more DIY's? |
