DIY facial serum

If you are still trying to find a good skin serum for your face, I've got a great recipe for you to try!

Living in Wisconsin with pretty harsh winters, my skin is always dry and it seemed no matter which cream or lotion I tried, nothing was hydrating enough.  Time to DIY!

Another key to having great skin is by exfoliating it first and then giving it hydration.  You can DIY your own skin scub too!  Check out our diy sugar scrubs here.

You will need:

A carrier oil.  I love grapeseed oil for this serum!
1 Tablespoon of vitamin E.  (You can find this in the pharmacy area at Walmart).
Frankincense essential oil - it's my favorite.  If acne is an issue with you, you could try using a few drops of tea tree as well.
glass bottle with dropper.  If you are using essential oils, always store them in a glass bottle.

Fill up your bottle just over halfway with your oil of choice.  Add in Vitamin E and shake to combine.  Then add in your drops of essential oils.  Roll the bottle between your palms to mix.

To use:  Exfoliate your skin first and pat dry.  Drop a few drops of your serum into the palm of your hand, rub hands together and apply it to your face.  I love doing this at night before bed, but I have also applied the serum in the morning and have never felt greasy.  Again, this is MY skin type, so experiment with it and see.

I love this serum and have noticed a huge improvement in my skin - I love it!
